We have a team of highly skilled and welcoming teachers, who are able to adapt the class to meet the needs of all who participate. You don’t have to be flexible to start a class and we will meet you wherever you’re at. Our over arching aim is for you to leave feeling rejuvenated and connected in body, mind body and spirit.

  • Vinyasa Flow Glasgow

    Vinyasa Yoga Glasgow

In this class, breath is used to thread a sequence of postures in a way that continuously flows, deliberately and intentionally.

Classes are intelligently sequenced, & can be adapted to how you’re feeling on the day. They are suitable for newer and experienced practitioners.

We don’t place a great deal of attention on alignment, because each body is unique and individual.

We move through each session intuitively , paying attention to sensations that arise.

A focus is placed on how the asanas (postures) and breath feel in specific areas of our bodies. It is intended that the movements help increase mindfulness and concentration, as well as bringing heat to the body and gently strengthening it.

  • Beginners yoga class Glasgow

    Beginners Yoga Glasgow

Please note that this runs as a course on a 5 weekly rotational basis. It’s suitable for anyone completely new to yoga and anyone who has had a long break from practicing. A common misconception is that you need to be flexible to start yoga. I’ll meet you wherever you’re at. My beginners yoga classes in Glasgow are offered from a welcoming venue, the Wellbeing Hub.

You will learn simple breathing techniques, to calm the nervous system. A focus is also placed on the connection between breath and simple movement and postural awareness.

This is also an opportunity for you to get familiar with foundational yoga postures and ask questions. The intent of this class is to help you build confidence, feel calmer and gain understanding of yoga basics. Each class ends with a relaxation or guided meditation. I hope to see you on the mat soon

  • Yin Yoga Glasgow

    Yin Yoga Glasgow

Yin yoga is a soft, restful and yielding practice that helps reduce feelings of stress and soothe our nervous system. Postures are done on the floor using various props, aimed to release tension and apply a healthy stress to connective tissue, ligaments and fascia, in areas such as the shoulders, hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. Postures are held for 3-9 minutes. This practice boosts circulation and enhances mobility in ligaments and joints.

In this mindful practice, we bring awareness to sensations in the target areas of the body. Duration of time is important as we work with the breath and gravity to let go and release the body.

During the darker part of the year, we practise in candlelight, to create a cozy and ambient atmosphere.

  • Pilates Glasgow

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on balance, posture, flexibility and strength. It’s suitable for people of all ages and fitness. This form of exercise was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, mostly as a method of recovery for injured dancers. It focuses on toning muscles and building core strength. Many people think of their abdomen as the core, but, it also includes the sides, mid to low back, glutes and hips.

  • Yin to Yang Yoga Glasgow

The words yin and yoga come from daoist tradition. The 3,000 year old term yin and it’s partner yang are still being used today, offering us ways to explore change and live a balanced life. In the first part of this class we open with some yin postures while the body is cool, to gently waken it, balance the flow of qi in meridians and release tension in connective tissue, ligaments and joints. Slowly, we ease ourselves into a vinyasa practice, to bring heat to the body and target the larger muscles.

  • Hatha Yoga Glasgow

Hatha yoga is about bringing balance to body and mind. Ha represents the sun and Tha ,the moon, meaning that yoga is bringing the balance between the sun and moon in you. It's about bringing balance to the two sides of ourselves, the active and passive, dark and light, masculine and feminine. Hatha Yoga practices are designed to align and calm body, mind and spirit in preparation for meditation. This class moves at a slower pace and you'll hold postures for longer than you would in a vinyasa flow class. It's a great class for newer practitioners and people who want to reduce stress. We highly recommend this as a follow on from our beginners course.
