Sheree Brown
Sheree trained in dance from the age of 4, which led her over to Bejing and Hong Kong to teach for 6 years. Whilst in Hong Kong, she fell in love with yoga, as a way of calming the mind and helping manage anxiety. She was especially drawn to yin yoga which was the opposite to all her training through dance.
Sheree found a teacher who she resonated with so much so that she decided to start taking teacher training courses and has now completed her 4th course with that same teacher, Nicky Hadjithoma from Yinintelligence school of Yin and Functional Yoga, where she has studied Yin, Functional Yang,Myoyin/ Myofascial Release and Trauma Informed Approach to Yoga.
Sheree completed her 200 & 300 hours Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali at House of Om World Peace Yoga School. Both trainings covered multiple styles, including Vinyasa, Hatha and Ashtanga.
Sheree believes theres no end to learning and looks forward to grasping as much as possible through continuing to study and train wherever possible. Sheree teaches Vinyasa on Monday evenings. This will be a flowing movement class with a medium intensity, but taught functionally and adaptable for all

Sophie Rowland
Sophie is originally from the South West of England but has lived in Glasgow for more than 17 years. In 2017 she happened upon a beginners yoga course being taught by Michelle, and signed up. Completion of this initial course was all it took for Sophie to become captivated by the many benefits of practicing yoga, and soon enough she was coming to class multiple times a week.
After sustaining a regular Vinyasa practice over the following years, in Spring 2024 Sophie travelled to Rishikesh in India to undertake her 200 hour teacher training. Having the opportunity to study in India, opened Sophie’s mind to the philosophical, spiritual and cultural roots of Yoga. Witnessing a different pace of life, as well as expanding her practice to include regular pranayama, concentration and meditation practice, had an instantaneous effect on both her outlook and her wellbeing.
As a teacher, Sophie is inspired by the utilisation of our physical body as a means to connect with our mind, alongside the potential transformative effect it can have on our mental health. Believing that yoga is truly for everyone, her classes aim to be open, relaxed and accessible.
Fiona Shaw
Fiona is a qualified L3 Mat Pilates teacher and also a Reformer Pilates teacher. She qualified as a Mat teacher in 2023 and in teaching Reformer Pilates in 2024. A break from teaching Mat classes was mandated by a health issue requiring surgery and once recovered, Fiona was keen to expand upon her original training by undertaking Reformer teacher training, allowing her more exposure to, and a deeper understanding of, Joseph Pilates’ original methodology. Completing the Hundred exercise has never felt the same on a mat since practising on a Reformer
Fiona takes a very pragmatic approach towards Pilates and firmly believes that it is accessible to all, regardless of physical ability, age or body size. Her teaching style is likely more fun than Joseph originally intended but Fiona still firmly believes in the core principles: breathing, control, concentration, centring and of course, precision. Having first-hand experience of some of the physical wear and tear that life can have on the body, Fiona makes every effort to propose effective alternatives to the Classical Pilates repertoire, including an element of the more contemporary style.
Fiona is planning to undertake Mixed Equipment Pilates training in the near future as she’s thoroughly enjoyed getting to grips with apparatus such as the Spine Corrector, Ladder Barrel and the Tower Reformer as a student.
Outwith Pilates, Fiona loves to travel, read and to practise yoga – ideally doing all of these somewhere warm and sunny though she also loves a cold, crisp, frosty winter’s day walk. She lives very close to one of Glasgow’s large parks and can often be found seeing what the Highland Coos are up to during her favourite walk!

Kristy Falconer
Kristy started going to Pilates regularly to try and find some relief from chronic pain, soon realising the importance of the mind body connection. With a consistent practise she began to feel stronger and found that having that time to really focus on her body and breath really helped with her mental health.
In 2023 she completed her YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates, passionate about helping others feel good. Not long after beginning to teach she became pregnant, and trained in teaching Pre and Postnatal Pilates during her pregnancy in hopes of supporting others during this challenging but transformative time.
Stephanie Leske
The last four years have been transformative for Steph. Yoga found her during a period of burnout. Her mat is her safe space and after experiencing the many physical and mental health benefits of yoga, she took the leap and began her 200 hour teacher training in Hatha Yoga for personal growth aspirations. On the first day, she realised this was something she wanted to teach and share the numerous lessons that she learned on her mat. Soon after, Steph completed her 50 hour Yin Yoga Training and an accredited hands on assists course. She loves learning and found that yoga is the best way to learn about herself. Amongst these lessons, there has been a deep dive into the 8 limbs of yoga and not focusing on the asanas alone. Embracing Yogas roots and teachings is important to Steph.
Steph has a 14 year background in nursing and a keen interest in the deep layers of self care and safety as you practice. This is in part where her love of a prop stems from!
Steph is a fur mother of 2 rescue Greyhounds, Kodalune and Kaia (her yin and yang hounds)A coffee obsessed book lover and tree hugger, her happy place is in any wooded area and her favourite book is Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Stephanie looks forward to connecting with you at Meridian Yoga and Pilates Studio.
Gillian Campbell
Gillian’s yoga journey began 10 years ago in a heated room, and she’s been passionate about it ever since. She immersed herself in yoga teacher training and intensives both in the UK and Portugal. This included Seasonal Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Aerial Yoga. Gillian incorporated Sound Healing training and will often use Singing Bowls as an addition to her classes.
Gillian promotes encouragement and provides a blend of strength and flexibility, along with mindfulness and relaxation. She is inspired by creative transitions and sequences that feel fresh and energising.
Gillian believes that everyone deserves to feel good, to live life in a more peaceful way and have good health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Being part of, and contributing to the community is really important to her and you will often find Gillian in the rose garden with neighbours teaching a class and gardening together.
In essence, Gillians yoga journey is ever-evolving, much like the practice itself. It’s a beautiful, continuous flow of learning, teaching, and connecting.
